EARLY BIRD ALERT — THE EASYCONNECT SYSTEM™
Early Bird Alert’s (EBA) EasyConnect exists as an app for Smartphones, Tablets, PCs, Internet-connected TVs or as a software application that can be used in connection with conventional home and cell phones.
EasyConnect Apps
EasyConnect Apps™ have a variety of icons that are capable of reminding users to take their medications or alert them to messages received from their healthcare providers. If a user wants to reach their doctor, pharmacy, caregiver, or any of several other predefined services, all they have to do is touch the appropriate icon on EasyConnect and it will complete the call.
Other icons on EasyConnect Apps are dedicated to audio programming — information, special offers from advertisers, games, and entertainment.
EasyConnect Assist
In the case of EasyConnect Assist™, users will dial a number with their landline telephone or conventional cellphone. The number connects them to the EasyConnect System™. Then, using the buttons on their phone’s dialpad or voice commands, they will be able to connect to their doctor, pharmacy, caregiver, or any of several other predefined services.
EasyConnect does not interfere with the normal operation of the telephone. In fact, it makes it easier to reach the people most responsible for the user’s health and well-being.
When users, (typically patients, especially people 65+, with chronic medical conditions), register for EasyConnect they’ll provide the information that EBA will use to program the system with the appropriate telephone numbers to reach the user’s healthcare providers.
Free for Users
EBA’s EasyConnect service is available to users free of charge. The EasyConnect Apps or EasyConnect Assist device will be given to patients who agree to have it by one of EBA’s distribution partners — a community organization, a Meals on Wheels provider, or a healthcare concern. Advertisers will support EasyConnect’s information and entertainment services.
One of the benefits of EasyConnect is that it can monitor whether, for example, a senior is taking their medications or ordering meals from Meals on Wheels. If there is a lapse, the system will send a message to a designated caregiver or physician to check on the user to see if there are any problems that need attention.
EASYCONNECT PROMOTES INDEPENDENT LIVING AND WELL-BEING
Early Bird Alert (EBA) believes the next steps in the healthcare industry will include more personalized, tailor-made, and specific patient-directed care. This will require coordinated one-to-one relationships between patients/customers and their important healthcare providers. EasyConnect offers direct connection at the touch of a button to:
• Doctor’s Office: Your primary care doctor or a specialist.
• Caregiver: The person identified as most immediately concerned with the patient’s health issues. This could be a family member or professional.
• Case Manager: A person professionally prepared to help with problems involving the patient’s treatment plans, medications, dosage regimens, physician appointments, durable medical supplies, and other daily living needs.
• Reminder Prompts regarding the importance of taking medications as prescribed
• Disease-specific health and wellness information as requested by patient/customer
• Pharmacy for ordering medications and durable medical equipment and supplies
EasyConnect and all its services are provided free of charge by the sponsoring EBA partner entity.
IMPORTANT — EMERGENCY CALLS: As you use EasyConnect every day, remember that the service is NOT for making emergency telephone calls. If you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1 on your phone just as you normally would. If you have an emergency when you happen to be on the phone with EasyConnect, hang up and then dial 9-1-1.
IMPORTANT — CHANGING HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS: If you change any of your healthcare providers — your doctor, pharmacy, or caregiver, for example, please call the EBA Call Center (1-855-385-9274) immediately to have the new telephone numbers programmed into your EasyConnect.
